Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions, so that you understand how Kat’s Cat Care services work. They are designed so that your pet receives the best possible care. By an owner making a booking or service with Kat’s Cat Care, the owner agrees that they and their pet(s) are subject to and conditional upon these terms and conditions.

Kat’s Cat Care is a registered business and holds a current and valid insurance policy and Katrina Andresen (owner) holds a current police check and wwcc.

General

1. Kat’s Cat Care reserves the right to amend, revise or alter these terms and conditions at their discretion.

2. By making a booking for boarding or in home care services with Kat’s Cat Care, the owner acknowledges acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Bookings

3. The owner agrees to provide their full contact details, as well as alternative emergency contact name and number.

4. The owner agrees to provide full and correct details of their pet(s) to Kat’s Cat Care.

5. In regards to boarding in the event where a pet or pets are left with Kat’s Cat Care beyond the stipulated and paid boarding period, Kat’s Cat Care reserves the right, after 3 days, to rehome the cat or cats at their discretion. All monies owing shall be payable by the owner and legal proceedings will be instigated, if necessary.

6. The person leaving the pet or pets for boarding with Kat’s Cat Care shall be deemed the agent of the owner. Kat’s Cat Care reserves the right to recover outstanding fees from the agent if the owner is not forthcoming.

Fees

7. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure your booking.

8. The remainder of the boarding or in home care fees are payable on admission, on the first day of boarding or prior to a service being carried out.

9. If you wish to pay for services by way of electronic funds transfer (EFT), the bank details for Kat’s Cat Care will be provided to you on your quote/invoice to arrange such transfer. Payment by EFT must be done 48 hours prior to delivering the cat(s) to Kat’s Cat Care (this allows time for funds to clear).

10. In the event of cancellation of cat boarding, where such services are paid in full, Kat’s Cat Care will happily refund 80% of the total visit cancelled.

Health and Care

11. With regard to cat boarding, please ensure your cat(s) are fully vaccinated. F3 vaccination certificates will need to be sighted and F3 vaccinations are to be completed at 2 least 7 days before arrival at Kat’s Cat Care. This requirement helps us ensure the health of your pet.

12. The owner acknowledges that their cat(s) have been flea treated and de-wormed no more than three (3) days before drop off, unless flea treatment is done on a monthly basis. For protection of other boarders if fleas are found on their cat(s), they will be treated with a flea treatment to prevent the spread. A fee of $35 fee will be added to the owners account.

13. The owner agrees to inform Kat’s Cat Care of any current health problems or issues their pet(s) may have that require special care by Kat’s Cat Care or may require further veterinary attention. If there are any signs of illness prior to boarding, please keep your cats at home.

14. The owner authorises Kat’s Cat Care to seek veterinary care for their pet(s) in the event of an illness, injury or accident and to release information regarding their pet(s) to the veterinarian to assist in making a diagnosis and any possible treatment.

15. Kat’s Cat Care will endeavour to contact the owner first should any veterinary treatment be required, including contacting the emergency contact provided by the owner. In the event that the owner cannot be contacted, the veterinarian’s decision is final.

16. If required, the owner authorises Kat’s Cat Care to transport their pet(s) for veterinary care to a reputable veterinary clinic.

17. Kat’s Cat Care reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat if it’s showing signs of illness or infectious disease upon check-in, regardless of vaccination status.

18. With regard to cat boarding the client agrees to express any known behavioural/aggressive problems that their pet has. The enclosure will need to be opened to access litter for cleaning, feeding and to access bedding, if your cat is outwardly aggressive or extremely stressed and unable to be held or handled by Kat’s cat care, then the best solution will be sought for the remainder of your cat’s stay. Kat’s cat care will make contact to with you to discuss. If your cat does display aggressive behaviours or is aggressive if medical treatment is required your emergency contact will be requested to collect your cat or veterinary costs will apply to this situation. Kat’s cat care has the right to refuse any further bookings.

If your cat is marking with urine or sprays urine on communal surfaces or other enclosures and this is causing disruption or stress to other cats boarding then Kat’s cat care will make contact to with you to discuss the best solution, this may result in your cat remaining in their enclosure and not having access to the communal area.

19. If you have requested your cats, be housed together in same enclosure, they may be separated if the arrangement is causing undue stress for one or both cats, or if they begin to fight and are at risk of causing injury to each other. Additional accommodation and/or veterinary costs will apply to this situation. Kat’s cat care will make contact to with you to discuss. Kat’s cat care will not be held responsible for any fight – related injuries sustained during a boarding period in a multi-cat household where it has been requested that they be housed or spend time together.

Insurance

20. Kat’s Cat Care is fully insured. My goal is to make you and your pet(s) as comfortable as possible while providing you and your pet(s) services.

Liability

21. The owner agrees to take full financial responsibility, and agrees to hold Kat’s Cat Care harmless for any illness or the death of their pet due to illness incurred during or after the pet boarding. If veterinary treatment is declined by the authorised person, Kat’s Cat Care has the right to request the animal is collected immediately by the person responsible.

Consent to use Photographs

22. The owner consents to Kat’s Cat Care to use photographs and/or videos and names of their pet(s) on Kat’s Cat Care website and social media sites.
